| To evolve our consciousness, we must first realize and accept that we are souls incarnated in physical bodies. By thinking that we are only physical beings we are limiting our own potential and more importantly, we are limiting the evolution of our consciousness. As the saying goes, "Think outside the box" as in think beyond the physical. We must identify ourselves as souls. It's true we have this physical body, but it is nothing but a vehicle or a container. More accurately the physical body is a medium for us to experience and learn and evolve. It is a tool for us to use wisely for the evolution of our consciousness or spiritual evolution. For example, we drive our cars to work or get to places. It is a tool or medium of transportation. However we don't say the car is who we are. If the car breaks down, we get a new one. Just like the physical body will one day die and our soul incarnate into a new physical body (through reincarnation). So it does not make |
| sense to think of ourselves as the tool or medium or equipment we use. To know our true identity as souls, we must also acts as souls. For example, if you are a fireman, you perform the duties or responsibilities of a fireman, so you act appropriately and accordingly. Since all of our true identity are souls, then we should all act as souls, think of ourselves as souls. The physical body is only a temporary medium, so all things in the physical world are also temporary mediums and tools. Identify with the permanent, not the temporary. If something is temporary then it is not us, because if it is truly us, then it should be permanent. |
