| Lead a simple life. Realistically, we only need a few things to survive. We know it’s painful for parents when it comes to material loss because they feel like they have failed their children. But if we really think about it, it is better to teach our children about detachment while they are young. As an old saying goes, “This is a blessing in disguise.” |
| Spiritual Preparation Begin to seek the real purpose of life. It is helpful to ask ourselves questions like, "who am I?" and "what am I not?" We can realize this further by looking within (meditation) because God is within all of us. Only by seeking, looking and focusing within will we find true and lasting happiness (joy). Remember, true happiness (joy) is not dependent on any outward situation or material. Within we will also find bliss, liberty, love, wisdom and even the ability to become immortal which our elder brothers have shown us. The wisdom we receive from within is what will help us during any time of crisis, no matter how big it is. This wisdom has the answer for everything and the truth. When we can focus within we are connecting and communicating with all souls. God is always waiting for us within, we just have to meet God there. We are never forsaken there. |
