Twelfth Imam Mahdi


26.)  Also on April 21st—Shia Muslims
around the world celebrated one of
their most important religious holidays—
the birthday of the """Twelfth Imam
Mahdi (or Last Shia Imam and Savior of
Mankind)""".


Sha'ban is the 8th month of the Islamic
(or Hijri) lunar calendar (instead of the
4th month of the Gregorian solar
calendar)—


And in nations with Shia Muslims (like
Iran, Iraq, Syria*, Yemen, Turkey,
Pakistan, India, etc…) it is generally
accepted that the 12th Imam Mahdi was
born on the 15th of Sha'ban nearly
1,200 years ago in Samarra, Iraq
(around July 29, 869 AD).
*  In Syria—Shia Alawites (or Alawis, aka Twelvers) are
also awaiting the return of Imam Mahdi.
